Biography

Marion Wingenbach (née Christ) studied Economic Engineering with the special focus on Energy and Environmental Management at the University of applied Science Flensburg (Bachelor of Engineering) and at the Europa-Universität Flensburg (Master of Engineering) from 2007 to 2013. During her studies she completed a semester abroad in Vigo, Spain. There she took courses related to European policy and economy. During her internship and Bachelor-Thesis at the development bank KfW Entwicklungsbank in Frankfurt she dealt with energy efficiency measurements in public buildings for developing and emerging nations, focused on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

During an one-year project in cooperation with Engineers without borders (IoG e.V. Hamburg) and Engineers in Action (EIA, La Paz, Bolivia) she developed and implemented concrete measurements related to renewable water-supply in Bolivia. In her Master-Thesis she developed a rating tool for a leading wind project developer in Northern Germany, based on indicators to improve the strategic management of wind-energy-projects. Since 2013 Marion Wingenbach has been working for Prof. Olav Hohmeyer, the Professor for Energy and Resource Management, at the International Institute for Management/Studies in Energy and Environmental Management at the University of Flensburg. Her work is focused on the support of the EEM studies and the lecture in the field of energy and environmental policy.
